Digital Illustration - Character Designing!

Our latest digital illustration assignment was to create a character, and then an environment. 

My character was Aerobics Annie, and her significant other, Fitness Frank. Annie was the instructor of the aerobics class at her local fitness center, but devastatingly, the class was cancelled due to lack of interest. Annie is forced out into the world to do aerobics, but not everyone is as crazy about it as she is, and she becomes very disrupting in her community. However, Frank spots her from afar, and offers to join her aerobics rampage.  I developed these characters with the concept being taken into a short animated film.

Intro to Psychology Midterm

For my midterm for my Intro to Psychology class, we were required to make an art piece and write a short essay on what psychology means to us, and how we can relate to it. I was pretty short on time, so this was probably the quickest I've ever completed an illustration (two days to draw, ink, and color digitally) Looking back there's a bunch of things I'd fix now, but don't really want to touch it.

Illustration 1 - Comic

I wanted to bring back the character I used from my 3D final last year, so I put her in a comic! All that coral took way too long. done digitally.

Ice Cream Spot Illustrations

For our digital illustration class, we started off my learning illustrator. Our first assignment was to do simple spot illustrations, for my first time using illustrator, I chose to do melting ice cream!

Christmas break is boring. so I made a gif of a character from a favorite film of mine, Moonrise Kingdom.

Lord of the Flies

My first semester of illustration 1 is over, and our last project was to create a book cover for a classic novel. I chose Lord of the Flies, and really experimented with character designing on this one. Done digitally
